It’s going to be an exciting Pentecost 2020 at Weilborner Hof!
Ropes, cattle, swinging bridges, logs and water crossings – this sounds more like a place in the Wild West and less like a place in western Germany. Let us take you on a trip back to the times where a surefooted, bold and reliable horse and the trustfully partnership between man and animal built the base for daily survival. In those times lies the origin of both disciplines: Ranch Roping and Extreme Trail.
What to expect?
At Ride West! 4 days full of exciting clinics, lessons and competitions in Ranch Roping and Extreme Trail awaits you. There will also be classes that combine both disciplines.
At the 30x60m outdoor arena you can find a full-featured trail course. The 26x45m indoor arena with cattle pen represents the perfect place for the roping. The event will be rounded by a small but classy program and some chosen exhibitors.

Where is the event?
The Weilborner Hof, near Waldbrunn (Westerwald) will serve us as a venue. Here horse and rider can find perfect conditions for a relaxed weekend.
How you can be part?
Everyone is welcome at Ride West! You can witness the event as spectator and just spend an exciting and instructive weekend with the Ride West! team
or
you can participate in clinics, lessons or even the competitions with your horse.
The clinics are mainly for newcomers to the disciplines. The lessons our trainers can be individually adjusted to you and your horse’s needs. No matter if you want to prepare yourself for the competition, want to work on a problem or simply want to try something new with your horse.
We give you the unique opportunity to try out two extraordinary disciplines on one day and at one location to bring trust and partnership with your horse to a new level!
The Extreme trail is open to all equines and disciplines. During training new obstacles will be shown the horse from the ground prior to riding. In the competitions there are different levels of difficulty, all in hand and ridden. So, there is a challenge for everyone!
In Ranch Roping all breeds and disciplines are welcome for clinics and lessons to learn to handle the rope and cattle. During the competitions western equipment is obligatory as the saddle horn is needed for the work with rope and cattle. You also have different classes in Ranch Roping. There are groundwork classes, in which a dummy is roped from the ground, you have horseback classes (dummy is roped from horseback) and vaquero classes in which you work with cattle.
